DRAWING
IN THE LANDSCAPE
Walking and working outside, in the
atmospheric and dramatic landscape that surrounds the studio, advice will be
given on making quick and useful drawings from which to develop further work in the studio. The course will
include practise and suggestions in the use of a variety of techniques and mediums,
suitable for conveying the changing light, mood and structure of the landscape.
The aim of the course is to
encourage the use of sketchbooks as an essential tool in artistic practice, in
which to make studies, drawings and
notes for your personal use. Practise in quick drawings
develops fluency and skills in drawing;
it also facilitates the capturing of the fleeting moments in the changing landscape which is
particularly apparent in this mountain landscape. An exciting opportunity for an intense visual and emotional experience for those who love the landscape.
